Morteza Goudarzi is an Iranian painter, lecturer, and art theorist whose landscapes hover between abstraction and figuration. His work explores the sensory presence of place through layered color and subtle texture.
Born in Borujerd, Iran, in 1962
Studied painting at Tehran’s Faculty of Fine Arts and earned an M.A. from Islamic Azad University
Completed doctoral studies in philosophy of art at the University of Birmingham, UK
Joined the faculty at Sooreh University and later led the Visual Arts Center of the Hozeh Honari Institute from 2009
Directed several national cultural research institutes related to Islamic culture and art
Authored over 100 scholarly articles on art theory between 1997 and 2001
